For this Dickens in December Event (this event occurred in Dec 2012), I plan to continue my reading of Little Dorrit and post on my blog regarding same. I began this reading in early November (2012) and have been trying to read the equivalent of one issue per week but that time frame has been adjusted when necessary. As December gets underway I am about 300 pages into Little Dorrit.
I have not yet posted to Caroline’s site but will do so as soon as my own blog has been fine tuned a little. I will join in on the Dec. 21st read of A Christmas Carol and have purchased a copy of the Dover republication of the edition published by William Heineman Ltd., London, 1915. This edition is illustrated by Arthur Rackham.
I am not certain which movie I will watch yet: either Little Dorrit or David Copperfield or The Old Curiosity Shop I think.
I am looking forward to participating in this event.
I posted to join this event yesterday (December 11th) and have received a welcome and the questions for The Christmas Carol readalong today from Caroline at Beautyisasleepingcat. Here they are:
Is this the first time you are reading the story?
Did you like it?
Which was your favorite scene?
Which was your least favorite scene?
Which spirit and his stories did you find the most interesting?
Was there a character you wish you knew more about?
How did you like the end?
Did you think it was believable?
Do you know anyone like Scrooge?
Did he deserve to be saved?
I will post my answers to some or all of these questions on Caroline’s site after the readalong on December 21, 2012.
